The Rotary Club of Mendip turned the Rotary Garden in Cheddar into a business enterprise zone for students from Kings of Wessex Academy. The students are taking part in this year’s Big Pitch. It is being organised by Rotarian Patrick Simpson and they are being mentored by members of the Club. The students have had to decide on products, then work in teams to manufacture, advertise, package and sell them. After a successful event during Cheddar Festive Night organised by Rotarian Ceri Davies, the young people are preparing for their final presentations to the Club when the overall winner will be selected.
