Supporting The Children’s Hospice South West
Sunday 10TH April 2016
Every year, the Exmoor Rotary Club holds The Rotary Exmoor Challenge. The Challenge is an amiable competitive walk between Districts 1175 and 1200 through Exmoor countryside, for a either a 10 mile or 5 mile route for those who prefer a shorter walk. The walk will be using footpaths and lanes near to Wimbleball Resevoir and Haddon Hill
PLEASE NOTE REVISED START POINT
Due to adverse conditions (mud!) on footpaths and parking in Morebath, the walk will now start at Upton Village Hall TA4 2DB (not Morebath)
District 1200 has won the shield by a narrow margin over the past two years.
The Exmoor Rotary Challenge will be taking place on 10th April 2016. The route this year will start from the Morebath Village Hall Morebath. There will be refreshments at the village hall as usual. There are some excellent country side views as you go around either walk.
- Either a 10 mile or 5 mile route for those who prefer a shorter walk.
- Every Rotarian, their family, and friends completing either walk earns points for their District. The District with the most points wins the Challenge Shield for a year.
- The walks also raise money from sponsorship and the entry fees for The Children’s Hospice South West, which exists almost entirely from donations.
For 2016 we will start and finish from Morebath Village Hall Registration between 9-11am and everyone is expected to finish by 4pm.
Before and after either walk, Exmoor Rotary Club will serve complimentary refreshments in the Village Hall.
