View From helps Water Survival Box to save lives!

A celebration party organised by Philip Evans, Editor of the , “View From”, group of Newspapers, marked the completion of two-years during which the View From team had publicised the Rotary Water-Survival Box project as their preferred charity. During that time many members of Philip’s team undertook personal challenges to help raise money for the charity. Their readers also organised fund-raising events and made personal donations following on from a series of articles highlighting the life-saving role of the boxes. The photograph shows, James Coles – Deputy Editor, Hugo Pike OBE – Director of Operations for the project, and Jenna, who did a sponsored skydive. The grand total raised was a magnificent £10,710 which will pay for at least 80 boxes – each one of which can deliver 100,000 litres of safe drinking water to keep a family of five protected from water borne disease for up to five years.
